Las personas con obesidad diariamente se enfrentan a una forma de estigma social persistente. Suelen ser objeto de discriminación en el lugar de trabajo, así como en entornos educativos y sanitarios.
El objetivo de la siguiente píldora es definir los conceptos de sesgo y estigma en obesidad y discutir sobre sus implicaciones en el manejo de los pacientes, ofreciendo estrategias para que tanto el médico como el paciente puedan identificarlo y superarlo.
