Diversas enfermedades endocrinológicas pueden presentarse con incremento de peso y adiposidad (hipotiroidismo, hipercortisolismo, hipogonadismo y deficiencia de hormona de crecimiento), por lo que se han asociado a intolerancia a la glucosa o diabetes, dislipidemia, hipertensión y mayor riesgo de enfermedades cardiovasculares.

En este taller, principalmente, se expondrán los mecanismos fisiopatológicos que ligan a la obesidad con múltiples trastornos metabólicos.
